Shankar Maitra has over 35 years of corporate management experience across the globe. Before starting his management consulting practise in 2018, he worked in global leadership positions in Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP, and Motorola, with an early career with ITC India (BAT group).
Over the years, he has built a reputation as a thought leader, who has transformed complex operations and improved their financial health despite difficult business environments, by consistently adopting his philosophy of harmonizing people, process, and technology resources within a sustainable corporate governance ecosystem.
His history of navigating diverse business cycles include start-ups and early-stage companies, high growth, and recession, exits and shutdowns, as well as mergers, acquisitions, integration, and divestitures. Consequently, he has developed the ability to intuitively connect Interfunctional cause-and-effect parameters, a skill that can be used, both by early-stage companies, as well as established companies seeking expert financial management advice or transformation (business, shared service, digital) solutions.
He works actively with organisations looking for sustainable and scalable capability development solutions for their finance, administration, operations, and commercial functions.
He advises Small Medium Enterprises (SME) and early-stage companies in setting up and managing their environmental, social and governance (ESG) value proposition and reporting framework.
Shankar is a Commerce Graduate from Poona (Savitribai Phule Pune) University and Fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is based in Singapore and enjoys outdoor activities. He demonstrates strong support for women upliftment and empowerment by his personal association with charitable institutions, Chowk Productions (Arts) Singapore and Ashwini Charitable Trust (Education) Bengaluru, India.
